Why Learn Equine Massage Therapy?

Equine Massage Therapy is a wonderful tool to have in your kit. It enhances performance; assists in injury prevention; can be used in some cases as first aid; and, perhaps most importantly, it deepens the relationship you have with your horse. If you become advanced enough, you can even begin to massage horses professionally, to bring in a little extra income!

Three Treasures Farms' Equine Massage courses are unique in that we provide an intensive, two-year, certification program, covering a broad range of massage education. In our Introduction to Equine Massage class we cover not only the basics of a wide variety of massage techniques and basic muscle structure, but also safe handling and how certain behaviors in the horse can indicate biological problems.

Licensed Massage Therapists, who ordinarily work on humans, are able to take our Equine Massage classes and count them toward their continuing education requirements with the state.

With over 15 years of experience, some of our horses have been teaching people about massage as long as our instructor has! With a new group of students about to embark on the Massage Intern Program and a new Introduction to Equine Massage class beginning in November, we invite you to become a fan and join us at our Facebook page for a look back over the years at some of the people and horses who have worked with us.

If you live in the Eugene area and are interested in getting started in our class next month, or are outside the area and would like to discuss hosting a massage clinic instead, please contact us at threetreasuresfarms @ gmail.com (spaces in the address need to be removed prior to sending).
